   1.       Children are never too tender to be whipped. Like tough beefsteaks, the more you beat them, the tenderer they become.
   2.       It may well be doubted whether human ingenuity can construct an enigma… which human ingenuity may not, by proper application, resolve.
   3.       Science has not yet taught us if madness is or is not the sublimity of the intelligence.
   4.       I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity
   5.       There are certain themes of which the interest is all-absorbing, but which are too entirely horrible for the purposes of legitimate fiction.
   6.       Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things that escape those who dream only at night.
   7.       Depend upon it, after all, Thomas, Literature is the most noble of professions. In fact, it is about the only one fit for a man. For my own part, there is no seducing me from the path.
   8.       Sleep, those little slice of death, how I loathe them.
   9.       Sleep, those little slice of death; Oh how I loathe them.
   10.   All that we see and seem is but a dream within a dream.

   11.   Take this kiss upon the brow And, in parting from you now, Thus much let me avow–You are not wrong who deem That my days have been a dream Yet if hope has flown away in a night, or in a day, in a vision, or in none, Is it therefore the less gone All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.

   1.       He that is good at making excuses is seldom good at anything else.
   2.       Keep thy eyes wide open before marriage and half-shut afterwards.
   3.       No nation was ever ruined by trade.
   4.       Distrust and caution are the parents of security.
   5.       If you would not be forgotten, as soon as you are rotten, either writes things worth reading or do things worth the writing.
   6.       He that is of the opinion money will do everything may well be suspected of doing everything for money.
   7.       Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!
   8.       So convenient a thing it is to be a reasonable creature, since it enables one to find or make a reason for everything one has a mind to do.
   9.       Dost thou love life then do not squander time; for that’s the stuff life is made of.
   10.   I know not which lives more unnatural lives, obeying husbands, or commanding wives.

   11.   Be slow in choosing a friend, slower in changing.

1.       What we know is a drop, what we don't know is an ocean. Apa yang kita tau hanyalah setetes air. Yang kita tidak tau adalah lautan.
2.       Plato is my friend, Aristotle is my friend, but my greatest friend is truth. Plato itu eman saya, Aristoteles juga teman saya. Tapi teman terhebat saya adalah KEBENARAN.
3.       No great discovery was ever made without a bold guess. Tidak ada penemuan hebat tercipta tanpa pertanyaan besar sebelumnya.
4.       Nature is pleased with simplicity. And nature is no dummy. Alam menyenangkan hidup kita dengan kesederahanaan. Dan alam itu tidak bodoh.
5.       If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants. Saya melihat lebih jauh daripada orang lain. Karena saya berdiri di atas bahu raksasa.
6.       It is the weight, not numbers of experiments that is to be regarded. Yang bernilai dari sebuah eksperimen percobaan itu adalah kualitasnya bukan jumlahnya.
7.       You have to make the rules, not follow them. Seharusnya kamu yang membuat peraturan bukan hukum yang mengatur kamu.
8.       To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction. Setiap aksi selalu muncul reaksi yang setara.
9.       Sir Isaac Newton was asked how he discovered the law of gravity. He replied, "By thinking about it all the time. Issac Newton ditanya bagaimana dia menemukan HUKUM GRAVITASI. Jawabannya hanya, "Aku memikirkannya sepanjang waktu…"

10.   We build too many walls and not enough bridges. Kita terlalu banyak membangun dinding, dan tak cukup banyak membangun jembatan.

1. I want freedom for the full expression on my personality.

2. In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in an clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth.
3. We must become the change we want to see.

4. Live simply that others may simply live.

5. Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.
6. What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?
7. You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.
8. Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.
9. There are seven sins in the world: Wealth without work, Pleasure without conscience, Knowledge without character, Commerce without morality, Science without humanity, Worship without sacrifice and politics without principle.
10. There is no path to peace. Peace is the path.

1.There are two levers for moving men interest and fear

2. If you wish to be a success in the world, promise everything, deliver nothing.
It requires more courage to suffer than to die
3. Religion is excellent stuff for keeping common people quiet
4. Death is nothing, but to live defeated and inglorious is to die daily
5. Few really believe. The most only believe that they believe or even make believe.
6. The word impossible is not in my dictionary.
7. The best way to keep one’s word is not to give it.
8. In politics stupidity is not a handicap.
9. History is a set of lies agreed upon.
10. [Medicine is] a collection of uncertain prescriptions the results of which, taken collectively, are more fatal than useful to mankind.
